Local Electronic and Hip Hop Sounds

The office I work at is full of people who aren’t from the Dallas area. You know what that means? It means they don’t know the great music that has been hiding down the street for the past year or so. See below for two prime examples.

Fizzy Dino Pop [MySpace] – The name describes exactly what his music sounds like. I’ve listened to his work for a while, but haven’t caught him live yet. I’m planning on checking him out as well as the Sore Losers on January 8th. Check out the MySpace link above for some more of his music and look him up on iTunes if you want to support him by buying some music. Japanese electronic inspired sounds, GO!

Fizzy Dino Pop – Hello Party

Sore Losers [MySpace] – The Sore Losers are a hip hop duo out of Dallas consisting of rapper Encyclopedia “Brown” and producer Out The “Blue.” Admittedly my first exposure to the group was last week when their new mixtape, Free Loaders the Soundtrack, was released. Not only have they put together a great mixtape, but if you like the two tracks below then you can download the whole thing for free here.

Sore Losers – Super Villain Music

Live in the Dallas area and want to check out either one of these groups? Good news is they’re both playing at the same venue on January 8th starting at 8 PM. Entry is free, 21+, and the venue is City Tavern. Start the new year off right by getting out to Dallas and partying with these guys.
